I adopted Shiloh from Cocker Spaniel Rescue on July 7th, 2001. That day he didn't stop kissing me when I took him with me to his forever home. Immediately, everything became ours: our home, our car, our bed... He became my Bebito and I became his Mama. Everyone fell in love with him. He loved taking naps and being petted. We loved watching TV while eating pistachios. We shared a lot through all these years. 2010 didn't start the same way the others had. He started vomiting and didn't stop. A stomach ulcer was diagnosed and the medication seemed to be working. Until one Wednesday, when vomit became blood. Vets at VERGI ran tests to see where the blood was coming from to try and stop it. That was when a bleeding tumor was found. Unfortunately, this tumor, because of its location, could not be removed. On April 8th, with the vet's help, I had to let my four legged angel cross the Rainbow Bridge on his own, promising that I will catch up with him later. I held him in my arms, until his little heart full of love, stopped beating.
Bebito, Mama misses you terribly. Cristina Fernandez
