Sandy
January 2007

Sandy touched our hearts in the short time she was in rescue. Diagnosed with renal failure in her last weeks, we'll probably never know the reason for her illness. An immune disorder or her positive heartworm status could possibly have been the culprits. Throughout her treatment, Sandy remained the happiest of girls who loved to carry and hide her plush toys all over the house. Her tail never stopped wagging as though she was forever grateful to be cared for and loved by all of us. In the end, her tiny body was no longer able to go on. She crossed to the Bridge in the loving arms of her foster Mom.

We are thankful for the time she was with us.
