Sammy Jo had the biggest smile I have ever seen. Although he was deaf and blind, he never stopped smiling. He could sit for hours in my lap, his contentment shining on his face. Sammy had a beautiful full tail that drove the girls wild. In his younger days he must have been a heartbreaker. Sammy was a talker. He would stand at the door after going outside and let me know he was through. Sammy knew the routine of the house and would let me know he was ready for the next item on the schedule, food, peanut butter, treats. Always with that smile. When I looked at him, my day got better. Today Sammy Jo, you can see, hear, run and play. I see you happy and smiling. I will remember you that way.
