Rufus had the biggest smile in the entire world - especially if you were heading toward his favorite room in the house - the kitchen! We in Rescue will always remember our Rufus…he came to us after the hurricane in Louisiana. He had two major ear surgeries, including the removal of his ear canals. But, in the end, there was too much damage to the nerves; we could not stop the pain Rufus was enduring.

Ru Ru, I know one day I will meet you again at the Rainbow Bridge where you will be pain-free and I can finally give you the big bear hug I have been saving up for you but could not give you while you were here on this earth.
