Razzle
2/13/2008

When Razzle first came into rescue, she was skin and bones. We had to fatten her up before we could even spay her. Then we found out she was very heavy heartworm positive. She went through the first half of her treatment without complications; however, about a month after her second treatment, just as she was about ready to go to adoptions, she took a turn for the worse. Evidently, her heartworm infestation was so severe that her heart was extremely enlarged and she never could get rid of the inflammation. It's so sad since this could have been prevented by giving her monthly preventative. Unfortunately, like some other dogs we have treated, Razzle's heartworms had done too much damage for us to save her. She fought hard to the very end. She waited for me to pick her up one last time from the vet, then died in my arms when we got home.

Razzle, we will miss you so much.....you touched our lives in so many ways. You were a very special girl!

Love,

Your foster parents, Mary & Rusty
