Our little Marcie Mae "Bug" lost her battle with lymphoma on January 27, 2011. After a year long
struggle her body finally couldn't take it anymore. We adopted Marcie in August of 2006 from the
Cocker Spaniel Rescue. We are grateful that we were able to share the past 4 years with the most
wonderful of dogs. Although 4 years just doesn't seem enough.
We knew she was a perfect fit the instant she came into our home and our other dogs accepted her right off.
She was very timid and scared at first but it didn't take her long to build her confidence in us. We were
told by everyone that met her that she was the best and sweetest cocker. She bravely endured one round of
chemo after another but unfortunately after only 2 short months in remission the lymphoma came back and she
tried really hard to fight it. After trying several other medications the cancer was just too strong and
finally won.
We miss her tremendously and don't know if this hurt will ever heal. We know that she is better off now and
no longer having to endure any pain. We feel truly blessed that she came into our lives and do not regret
sharing in this battle with her.
You were the best dog ever "Bug" and we all miss you!
Rachel & Ken, all your doggy sisters Libby, Cricket, and Penny, and your doggy brother Bo.
