Ms Kelsey crossed the rainbow bridge on January 12, 2012. She was originally adopted from CSR in 2001, then
came back into rescue when her owner passed away in January 2011. She was in her foster home one year almost to the day.
We never knew her age as records don't go back that far, but we estimate 15-18 years old. Kelsey had several problems, fear
biting, painful hips, and she was having very frequent urination which she was no longer taking outside. Kelsey had an accident
over Christmas which resulted in eye damage requiring major surgery which was not in her best interest, so the decision was made
to try palliative care, January 12 was the day to relieve her of the pain she was suffering. Her foster mom stayed with her to see
her safely across the rainbow bridge and she believes that Kelsey is now somewhere enjoying being
able to run around pain free again.
Her foster mom says, "I believe this is part of what we do, possibly the hardest part... Ms Kelsey was a forever
foster and she took a piece of my heart with her today which I will get back when we meet again at the rainbow bridge...".
God bless everyone for doing all we can do for all these babies.
