It is a mystery to us why Baylee was neglected and unloved. She was a tiny, delicate little girl, friendly and sweet. Every rescue worker who met her adored this charming five year old. One of our volunteers even decided to adopt her.

The saddest thing is that all of Baylee's problems could have been prevented by caring owners. A mere $5 a month would have prevented the heartworms. Keeping her inside and cleaning her ears once a week with an inexpensive ear wash would have prevented ear infections and calcified ears. A Bordatella immunization might have prevented the respiratory infection. Dentals would have prevented the teeth infections.

Instead Baylee arrived in Cocker Spaniel Rescue with multiple problems but with her little tail wagging. She fought valiantly but the infections overwhelmed her.
