Archie Baker
23 March, 2010

It is with great sorrow that I send this message. Archie Baker has crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

We adopted Archie from Cocker Spaniel Rescue a little more than 4 years ago and yesterday I had to make the toughest decision of my life to put him to rest. Out of the blue he went into severe renal failure and his kidney's were virtually useless. It would have caused him much suffering to try to fix this nearly irreversible damage, thus his time with us was cut short.

He was my right hand man from the get go and had to be with me every step I took. His last 4 years on this earth were the best he had probably ever had considering what his life must have been like before ending up in rescue. I believe we got him from you when he was 2 or 3. He had a distinct personality, the funniest of which was only giving kisses on his terms. I have never known a dog to not give kisses when asked, but Archie was different. He would always shy away when you tried. Only when I came home from work, after a short vacation or some other period of time away from him would I get the gift of his kiss. He was so playful. And charismatic to boot! Such a sweet boy. At bed time he was always at my side, snugged up to me all night.

He will never be forgotten and losing him has created a void in the Baker household that can never be filled.

Kind Regards,
Bradley Baker
