Angel Boy
10/4/2008

When Angel Boy arrived at our home he was recovering from a serious case of mange and we didn't think his coat would ever recover. He had disabling vision problems (shadows at best) and seizures yet he managed to thrive. His coat eventually returned with a beautiful shine like a sable fur coat. Medication provided a respite from the seizures and familiarity with his surroundings provided him the ability to travel through his domain without injury.

I'm not really sure who adopted whom, but after 14 months with no interested prospects for a special needs dog, he was already a member of the family. He had chosen a basket in the laundry room as his bunk bed and was the first one to greet us through the doggie door with a squeaky ball in his mouth so we could play fetch when we arrived home.

He followed mom every waking minute of the day. In the evenings Angel would head off to the bedroom and get his spot on the bed. Once you got in bed he would snuggle against you and fall sound asleep. There are too many unique mannerisms to detail but each brought a smile to your face.

However, tragically a speeding truck just outside our home took Angel's life. There is a special place in our hearts for Angel and we will miss him terribly. We know he will meet us at the Rainbow Bridge wagging his tail with toy ready for a round of fetch…

With all our love,

Mom, Dad, Aunt Kim and Uncle Jeff
