My foster mom calls me Handy Andy. When I first came into rescue I would jump into the dryer every time she opened it. She thinks I was looking for some place safe. Now that door opens and I don't give it a second glance. I am her best lap buddy. Every time she sits down, I am there. If her lap is busy, I lay frog legged on whatever is close by. I guess I am still craving attention. Boy does it feel good when I get it. I get along with the other cockerkids, but am a little too interested in the cat. What can I say? It's instinct. Mom says I shouldn't be with young kids, but older ones are fine. I am housetrained too. If you are looking for a devoted companion, I am your man. I am currently test driving laps, looking for a perfect fit. My name is Brendan. I was one of the saddest boys in the whole world. My family left me in a parking lot with lots of strangers. Then a precious girl saw me confused and lost. She was kind enough to shelter me from a storm as I waited for Animal Control to take me to a safe place. A shelter employee knew my story could not end there. She called Cocker Rescue. Ahh, it feels good to be free of the mats and fleas! Look at this picture to see how I used to look before my fresh haircut. But I'll still be sad until I can be safe again in a forever home with a new family. Please give me chance to light up your life. I am a good boy with lots of love to give.
I am the very model of a modern Cocker Kid,
I've information all about the city of Madrid,
I know the kings of England, and I quote the fights historical
From Marathon to Waterloo, in order categorical;
I'm very well acquainted, too, with matters mathematical,
I understand equations, both the simple and quadratical.

Sullivan is a delightful 3-5 year old black male that needs a new forever home where he can explore his creative talents. He also needs cataract surgery to keep his song writing more like Gilbert & Sullivan and less like Stevie Wonder.

Are you looking for a best friend? Well, look no more. Buddy is a 3-5 year old gorgeous sable boy. He loves to give kisses and is in your lap the minute you sit down. He will be your shadow. Buddy gets along well with other dogs and cats. As a result of two pins in his leg, he is on a pain/arthritis med for his left hind leg. If he doesn't get his meds at least every other day, he can get grumpy. Buddy loves his food. Feed him in a crate and all is fine. Buddy would be great with older kids -- not elementary age or younger. Buddy likes to run, play and jump. He will pick out the most unusual items to bark at, the Woolite bottle, the dryer, the Clorox bottle and the Pine Sol bottle. Don't we all feel like barking at these items? Well, Buddy will do it for you. Are you looking for your soul mate? Your Buddy is here!

Artemis, named for one of Alexandre Dumas' famous trio is better known as Artie around his foster home. While he's not much of a swashbuckler, Artie is around 4 - 5 years old and real sweet guy. He has successfully undergone heartworm treatment but then he came down with a bit of a skin problem. His skin problem is now under control, and Artie is ready to swing from foster care to his forever home. Summertime is the time to kick back, relax, and play a few games. Domino is the one for you. This sweet, little tri colored two to three year old boy gets along with everyone. He's more fun than a double six. Domino wants to be a player in all of your games.
Dallas - our own Big D came from California, ended up on the streets of Houston and then in a local shelters. She arrived in poor shape - half of her back was one big sore. Today Dallas is a beautiful silver buff cocker mix. She is about 35 pounds and a slightly older girl of about 5 or 6. She has her own GPS locating system - the thumping noise her tail makes, she is always wagging it! This sweet girl can come, sit, shake paws, and is housebroken.
Though she now looks pretty, Dallas has had other medical issues. She eats dog food for sensitive stomachs and should have no meat, spices, or fatty food (She's a vegetarian!). She takes part of a pill each day to help keep her limber and enjoys taking several walks a day. Dallas is a very sweet, loving girl who is looking for a forever home.

" A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than you love yourself". Josh Billings is famous for this quote, but oh how true that statement is when it comes to our Niko. Niko is a vivacious male who is full of love and longs for someone to devote that love. He has been in our program for quite some time but has yet to find the perfect forever home. Because he is so devoted to his human, he would be tickled pink to find an all adult home where he could be an only dog and not have to share your affection with other pets. He is a calm, middle aged dog who is doggy door trained and will sweep you off of your feet with charming personality. This guy is merry as a cricket and in no time he will weasel his way into to your heart.
