COCKER SPANIEL RESCUE OF EAST TEXAS - HOUSTON

In order to be considered as an adopter one must:

***Be an adult with responsibility for maintaining a household (no students).***

***Understand a fenced yard is not required, but it is a good feature***

***Have current identification showing address and/or phone number.***

***Have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in household.***

***Be able to spend the time and money necessary to provide for the training, medical treatment and proper care of the pet.***

***Have the resources to make a non-refundable $250 donation.***

***Agree to provide the pet with an indoor home consider it a member of the family.***

***Understand that all Cocker Spaniel Rescue pets are neutered/spayed.***

***Place personal ID on the animal as soon as possible.***

***Provide an environment for the animal that will keep it safe and secure.***

***Puppies are not placed in homes with children under 7 years of age.***

***Understand that Cocker Spaniel Rescue has the right to either deny or approve your adoption application without explanation.***

PUPPY POLICY: Puppies are not released until they are at least 8 weeks old. We do not adopt infant puppies (less than 4 months) to homes with children less than 7 years old, apartment dwellers or to homes where no one is home during the day. All puppies must be neutered and Cocker Rescue reserves the right to reclaim the dog back if proper documentation is not made available to the organization at the specified time. In order to facilitate your adoption, please submit an on-line application in advance of the adoption day that you may be attending so we can have it processed by then. If you are pre-approved and fall in love when you meet one of the babies you can take him/her home with you. If you are not preapproved you will have to wait until the approval process has concluded. If you are pre-approved and we do not have the one for you, we will keep looking for you and so can you. There is no obligation, and your information will not be shared. If you could also print a copy of the linked Vet Check Form and get this filled out and faxed or mailed to us, this will also speed up your adoption process.
